She was amazing!!! When this woman comes out on stage she can blow out the windows the room with her voice. The night's theme was songs with lyrics that told the story of her journey up till now. She would sing a classic Rogers and Hammerstein piece and then knock it out of the park with a Stephen Sondheim number. I have always wished I got the opportunity to see her on Broadway in one of her most famous roles so I was so happy that she sang at least one from each of her roles. Also for having a baby just six months ago she looked wonderful! On Broadway she stared as Clara Johnson in The Light in the Piazza with Matthew Morrison, as Babe Williams in the Roundabout Theatre Company"s revival of The Pajama Game, alongside Harry Connick, Jr. and recently as Nellie Forbush in the Lincoln Center Theater revival of South Pacific (she left the show on the 3rd of this month). All three of theses performance earned her nomination for Tony Awards.
