Saturday at the Met

This upcoming weekend I will be attending a preview performance of Ordinary Days at the South Coast Repertory. The Production will play at the SCR's Julianne Argyros Stage. The Julianne Argyros is the smaller theatre at SCR and hosts four productions in the 336-seat theatre designed by renowned architect Cesar Pelli.

ORDINARY DAYS is having it's West Coast Premiere at SCR but had it's world premier at The Roundabout theatre company in New York this past fall. With music and lyrics by Adam Gwon and directed by Ethan McSweeny it looks promising. The buzz around the theatre community is that Adam Gwon, who was latest winner of the Fred Ebb Award for Excellence in Musical Theater Songwriting, is the next star to watch. He is also a graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, which is the school I WOULD LOVE TO GET MY MASTERS AT.
