JUST IN!!! According to the New York Post John Cameron Mitchell is set to reprise the title role in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway this fall 2010!!!
It is said that Stephen Trask, the composer is working on new songs for the show and that they are looking for a theatre for the production. Mitchell tells the Post “The role is so hard and so challenging that it made me give up acting and concentrate on writing and directing. It’s like Hamlet. Except that Hamlet doesn’t have to sing 15 great songs. In a dress.” Mitchell also starred in the popular 2001 movie adaptation which has grown a cult following over the years.
