They're creepy and they're kooky, Mysterious and spooky, They're all together ooky

The Addams Family is coming to Broadway!
Yes, this famous family is heading for Broadway in the spring 2010 but will do a test-run in Chicago this fall. The show will feature original music by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice (Jersey Boys) and Andrew Lippa (The Wild Party). The show will be based on the characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams rather than past television shows or the films.

The new show will star Nathan Lane as Gomez(A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, The Producers) and Bebe Neuwirth as Morticia(Sweet Charity, Chicago). The rest of the cast includes Terrence Mann (Beauty and the Beast, Les Miserables) as Mal Beineke, Carolee Carmello (Parade, Lestat) as Alice Beineke, Kevin Chamberlin (Seussical, Dirty Blonde) as Uncle Fester, Jackie Hoffman (Hairspray, Xanadu) as Grandmama, Zachary James (South Pacific) as Lurch, Adam Riegler (Shrek) as Pugsley, Wesley Taylor ( Rock of Ages) as Lucas Beineke and Krysta Rodriguez (In the Heights, Spring Awakening) as Wednesday.
