GLEE LIVE ended with a KISS :) Sadly the 2011 GLEE LIVE tour has come to an end. But they finally gave the fans what they wanted KLAINE & Britanna. But not only do they lock lips Chris aka Kurt wrote a love poem for Blaine.
Here is the poem:
Blaine Warbler Anderson, I have never loved another. Except for last year when I was in love with my stepbrother. I admire you almost as much as I admire the late Alexander McQueen You're exquisite when you sing.
How I've missed our impromptu performances In the Dalton academy halls, the rooms, the bleachers. Where the hell were all the teachers.
We've seen everything eye to eye, All the pain, all the hurt At least we did until my last growth spurt
We've shared so many intimate moments Memories that shine in glitter Just the two of us, Facebook, Myspace,Tumbr, and Twitter.
Since we've met it's been absolute heaven: For your Emmy consideration 2011.
But through all the glory, the scary, and the hype, I swear to god I'm going to punch the next person who calls me a stereotype. I'm so thankful to have found a partner as talented as me And forever we shall be, unless the writers change things in season three.
COMPANY!!! I got my popcorn and headed to see the filmed of the 2011 New York Philharmonics Concert of Company lead by Neil Patrick Harris on the Big Screen and it was amazing! My Favorite production is still the 2006 Broadway revival headed by Raul Esparza. If you have never seen Stephen Sondheim's Company you are missing out. The plot revolves around Bobby, a single man who has never been able to commit to a relationship, and his best ,five married couples. The musical is a match up of short vignettes, presented in no particular chronological order, and all linked by a surprise party for Bobby's 35th birthday. The cast did an outstanding job bringing this timeless story to the stage. NPH did an amazing job as bobby, full of charm, honestly, and hope. His rendition of Marry Me A Little made me cry. Stephen Colbert and Martha Plimpton played the comical married couple of Harry and Sarah. They stole the show for sure! Anika Noni Rose blew the roof off with her Another Hundred People. Go see this film!!! The run of the film has just been extended, click here for details!!!
As if you couldn't fall in love with her more after her heartfelt acceptance speech for winning Best Actress in a Musical this past weekend, Tony winner Sutton Foster just stopped by Sesame Street for a special guest appearance! Foster taught Elmo and friends all about her love of levers. Check it out below:
"Come on, Cap! I've waited all my life to be a Lady!"-lyrics from I Get A Kick Out Of You from Anything Goes
This year's Tony Awards were amazing. The best Tony's in years! The big highlight for me came when the credits rand and NPH rapped thing up with a rap written by my personal fav. Lin-Manuel Miranda with help from Tommy Kali. Check out the lyric and videos below:
Tomorrow, if anyone asks you what happened at the Tonys, you can say this:
We straightened things out in the opening number, Ellen Barkinand John Benjamin Hickey took home awards for their hilarious performances in THE NORMAL HEART.
Daniel Radcliffe kicked some butt, and we were so elated
Even Voldemort was sad he wasn't nominated
Norbert Leo Butz sang and danced and tried to catch ya, comin' atcha,
Chasing Trey and Casey ‘cause they nabbed a Tony statue
Commencing in the Chattanooga station
From the grand imagination of the Kander-Ebb collaboration
It takes a lot for a recipient to humble me
But everybody cried for gorgeous Nikki James, the bumblebee
Andrew Rannells sang "I Believe" and he landed it
So well now he's Mitt Romney's V.P. candidate
All across the country, from the north and to the south
They're saying Brooke's a hottie with a crazy potty mouth
John Larroquette brought an eloquent mood to the room
I'm still imagining him at home in his Fruit-of-the-Looms
SPIDER-MAN and Mary-Jane gave us perspective here
They sang a ballad, we didn't need protective gear
Patina Miller's nun sang "Raise Your Voice" with cheer
And MEMPHIS is relentless, they're performing every year
THE NORMAL HEART won, Larry Kramer made us weep
And WAR HORSE dazzled us with a theatrical sweep
Sutton Foster never lost her knack
For talking smack
And tapping a full-on assault attack
I'm awesome, Hugh Jackman, take that
Go ahead and roll the credits if you need to
I'm out of control, I'm on a roll, this is my Tonys speed-through
ANYTHING GOES took the best revival prize in stride
We didn't see it, we were singing "Side By Side By Side."
McDormand loves her job, Sutton Foster won again
Paul Shaffer sang and suddenly it started raining men
Mark Rylance runs at fences, he's won the Tony twice
That guy can do it all, his follow-up is "Fanny Bryce."
Norbert Butz and MORMON swept the floor,
Won even more awards than WAR HORSE
Par for the course,
Someone get a car for the horse
And in the final analysis, what survives tonight?
Theater, because it's what we live, we're changing some lives tonight
And theater thrives because we live to give it, so to speak
This ain't reality TV, this is eight shows a week
Every chorus member that you saw tonight tappin'
Had to make miracles happen
For a chance to see you clappin'
And applauding in the audience. What's next? Who knows?
Anything goes. Now go see a ____________ Broadway show.
Thank you, good night.
"Now Go See A ____________ Broadway Show"-lyric Lin-Manuel Miranda

GLEE LIVE!!! Just go back for GLEE LIVE!!! It was truly amazing! I love watching GLEE each week but seeing them live is 100X better. This cast is truly the most talented artists of my generation. They can Act, they can Sing, and they can Dance! From the opening number, their now iconic rendition of Don't Stop Believing, to Born This Way, to the Warblers rocking they hell out of Teenage Dream, every number was even more kick ass then the one before. One of my favorite part's of the show was when Brittany tried to come on to Blaine and Kurt quickly came up to claim his man. Then Kurt asked Blaine to join the McKinley High School GLEE club to which Blaine said YES and then joined them on stage for all the group numbers to follow! Does this mean the rumors are true? Is Blaine changing schools? I sure hope so!
If you can not make it to see GLEE live in concert do not fear, they are taping the tour, backstage craziness, and more for release on the big screen later this summer!!! and in 3D! For now check out the Set List below!

So we all know how big fans the GLEE cast members are of recording artist Adele and were thrilled to perform her hits but who sang it best? (side note Adele is a huge Gleek herself) Option 1: Amber Riley covers "Someone Like You" on Youtube while on GLEE set.
Option 2: Gwyneth Paltrow's cover of Turning Tables
Option 3: Jonathan Groff and Lea Michelle singing Rolling In the Deep
HE IS BACK!!! I first broke this news via twitter earlier this week but now it is OFFICIAL... Neil Patrick Harris will return as the host of the Tony Awards!!! YAY. The Emmy Award-winning actor will return as host of the 65th Annual Antoinette Perry "Tony" Awards® on Sunday, June 12th on CBS, taking place this years at the Beacon Theatre in NYC. It should be Legen...wait for it...Dary "A Man's Gotta Do"-song from Dr. Horrible's Sing-along Blog
So last night was PROM on GLEE! I loved this episode so much. I would not have pictured a better way for the kids at Mckinley High, there was drama, there were flights, there was great dance songs, people from the past, and a lot of tears. Quinn said it best "You can get married as many times as you want. You only get one shot at your junior prom". So who went with who? Finn went with Quinn of course. Yet Finn kept a eye on Rachelas she went to prom withher ex-boyfriend Jesse St. James. He is back in town after he flunked out of college and with the goal of being a show-choir consultant. Rachel and Jesse did not go alone but joined Mercedes and Sam as they did "prom on a budget". Puck went with Lauren Artie's tried to win Brittany back as his prom date but she refused. Brittany instead went by herself but planed on dancing with other people's dates, so really she went with everyone. Karofsay and Santana went together as they continued to use each other “beards”. Kurt went with Blaine even though Blaine admitted he went to a high school dance before only to be beaten up for doing so.
There were three top moments of the Prom that shined bright: 1st Karofsky apologizing for bullying Kurt and Kurt forgiving him becuase he could see the pain Karofsky is in as he struggles to come to terms with his sexuality. 2nd Kurt accepting the Prom Queen crown even though he was upset by it at 1st and his now famous line "Eat your heart out, Kate Middleton,". And lastly the slap heard around the world between Quinn and Rachel. That slap had been coming for two years now. I loved that how even though Rachel had just been slapped by her biggest rival Quinn she still calmed Quinn down and help her fix her make up so she could return to the Prom. It just showed how much they care about each other even they cannot stand each other.
Last but not least best song of the night went to.... Darren Criss as Blaine singing I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You.
"I'm Not Gonna Teach Your Boyfriend How To Dance With You"-song performed on GLEE

WAIT... WHEN DID KURT GET HOT? So I was having breakfast today with an old friend and we got on the subject of last week's episode of GLEE entitled Born This Way. She had not been watching in a while but told me how impressed she was with the show. Then we both said at the same time "Didn't Kurt Look HOT!" We started to laugh but we were serious. Not only was he amazing in the episode, blew me away with As If We Never Said Goodbye, but he looked better than ever. That boyish and adorable Chris Colfer has really changed over night into a handsome young man. Check out the photo below that Chris himself retweeted on his twitter account; you can really see how he has bloomed over the last three years: For starters he taller now, growing 4 inches in height between season one and season two. He has said in interviews that he has lost around 40 pounds in weight since high school. And I swear that young man has him some muscles now. Don't believe me, just check out his arms during the Born This Way performance (amazing). Lastly his hair has been fantastic this season! He can really pull off the big poofy hairstyle (so chic). A+ Chris you are a gem and don't ever change! Let me even say that you are quicky becoming every girl's and boy's teenage dream.

TODAY WAS THE BIG DAY!Congratulations to the new Duke and Duchess of Cambridge! It was a lovely royal wedding full of pop and circumstance. What a joyful day for Brit's everywhere! In honor of this grand wedding here are twelve (12) wedding related songs from musicals. Enjoy!
Tonight TV fans everywhere say goodbye to a friend, an inspiration, a boss, Michael Scott of The Office. Thought we are sad to see him go at least we have the memories. Here are my favorite musical moments from The Office. Enjoy!
GLEE-CAP: So today a fellow GLEEK & co-worker walked into my office at work to make a confession... she no longer was a GLEEK (WHAT!). I was shocked and could not believe that she had lost faith in the show. She explained that she upset at the lack of story from last week's episode and was over some of the characters. I tried to tell her that tonight episode was gonna be AMAZING and win. her back but then she handed over her GLEEK merch (magnets, buttons, etc). Though I was sad to hear she no longer was a fan I was over joyed to inherit her GLEE merch. The rest of the day I could not shake what my co-worker said. I went over to the Gannons to watch GLEE like I do so often and sat down hoping she was wrong. And she was! This episode reminded me why I love GLEE that it is a show about people like me. Born This Way might come in top 5 episodes of GLEE all time. GLEE has always been a story about the underdog from day one and tonight really came back to these core theme of the show. Born This Way was the perfect anthem for GLEE because is about letting your unique features shine and stand out instead of hiding them. The stand out star was Chris Colfer who plays Kurt. Kurt made his big return to McKinley High and boy did he come back with the best song he has done on the series to this date! He sang As If We Never Said Goodbye from the Andrew Lloyd Webber's musical Sunset Blvd. I give big props to the writers of the show (Ian, Ryan, Brad) and GLEE's musical director Adam Anders for picking a song with lyrics that perfectly illustrated the emotions of Kurt returning home. I cried my eyes out watching him own that song in his performance. Also how great was it to see the Warblers and Blaine sing Kurt off with their rendition of Somewhere Only We Know. Blaine looked as if he wanted to cry out "DON'T GO" but he held it together for Kurt's sake. I can not wait to see their relationship grow and see the romance bloom! TOO CUTE
Another highlight of the night was the Barbra Streisand flash-mob to SAVE Rachel's noise. I am not gonna lie that song might end up being my new ringtone! I think Lea Michelle is a true beauty and to see her and Dianna Agron sing I Feel Pretty/Unprettywas such a powerful message to young girls everywhere. Overall 5 stars to this episode, I could watch it over and over again!
So what's next for GLEE: The cast and crew are currently filming in NYC, check out this fan video of some scenes at famous NY landmarks!

Priscilla Queen of the Desert is the latest stage musical to hit the stage! While I was in NYC last week, I kept running into advertisements for this musical all over town. I must admit had no idea what the show was about but it looked like a blast of fun. Another thing I could tell from all the ads was that it was filled with well-known dance pop songs as the score! The book was written by Australian film director & writer Stephan Elliott and Allan Scott and is a stage adaptation of Elliott's 1994 cult film The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. The story centers around a drag queen named Mitzi Mitosis who's "real" life named Anthony "Tick" Belrose. He who lives in small town in Australia an wants an road trip adventure. He convinces his two friends and fellow drag queens (Bernadette Bassenger and Felicia Jollygoodfellow), to join him for that journey on a large tour bus, they called "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert". I am very interested of hearing from you all on your impression of the new musical. Does it look like a good time or an over the top drag show? Check out the videos below of the cast of the Broadway musical "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert", Will Swenson, Tony Sheldon and Nick Adams.
Memphis= so/so So I just got back from a week in New York City! I was a chaperon for my niece's dance team while they traveled to NYC for a dance competition. Usually I head into the town to see as many shows as I can squeeze in but this trip someone else picked the show, Memphis. The dance teams coach chose Memphis for two reasons: 1 it just won the Tony for Best Musical and 2nd one of the dance teams alumni who know lives in NYC suggested it a a must see for the dance numbers alone. I must admit that seeing Memphis was at the bottom of my list of shows to see but I put my feelings aside and went in with as open a mind as I could.
What is Memphis you ask? Memphis is a musical with music and lyrics by David Bryan, additionally lyrics and book by Joe DiPietro. The story is loosely based on a real life Memphis disc jockey named Dewey Phillips, who was one of the first white DJs to play black music back in the 1950s. Mr. Phillips falls in love with Felicia Farrell an African American Rock and Roll singer and the story falls their roller coaster relationship. It has big dance numbers, soulful gospel numbers, and marvelous costumes and set's that make you feel like your are really in the hear of Memphis.
Overall I would have to say "I liked it but I did not LOVE it". The dancing and talent of all the actors on stage was nothing a showcase of Broadway's best and featured name of the original cast members such as Chad Kimball as Huey Calhoun, Montego Glover as Felicia Farrell and Derrick Baskin as Gator. But I had a problem the overall story lacking an connect with the audience. I felt the book was Hairspray for adults but without the happy ending. Don't get me wrong not every story does not have to have a happy ending, come on two of my favorite musicals are Next to Normal, and Spring Awakening (not happy endings). But I left seeing Memphis feeling nothing, no emotional change or enlightenment. I feel a musical happy or sad should leave you with an understanding yourself or new view of the world (whether big or small). When looking back at the 2010 season I do not understand how this show could win Best Musical over the mind-blowing American Idiot (talk about a show that makes you re-think what Broadway is). In the end is Memphis a good night of theatre, yes. Is it a must see of the Great White Way, no.
It's about time that Sister Acts the musical comes to the Great White Way! Sister Act the musical is written by Cheri and Bill Steinkellner, with fantastic lyrics by Glenn Slater and music by Alan Menken. The hit 1992 film was turned into a staged musical for the West End production in 2009 and ran until October 2010. The show actually has roots in So Cal as the 1st production of the piece was performed in 2006 at the Pasadena Playhouse and had a two month run. Whoopi Goldberg who stared in the flim is signed on a producer of the stage show. Check out the video from the rehearsal room of the show set to start preview on March 24th and open April 20th.
